Saying Hello

This week has been filled with lots of smiles and saying hello to everyone. The children are showing excitement when the aftercare teachers are coming into the classroom! We are playing Peek-A-Boo in the cubbies, climbing up the climber and even enjoying snacks as a whole class. The children are also engaging in more songs throughout the time in aftercare.

 This week in Toddler AfterCare, we explored more of our classroom, our playground, and the things we enjoy. The children were able to spend a lot of time outside during the week as well as begin to show more of their true personalities. Getting Adjusted!

The first two weeks of starting something new are the hardest for anyone, especially young children who have a hard time communicating their needs, wants and emotions. These first two weeks have been allowing the children to become adjusted to another new person in their lives as well as to other friends they may not always be with! The children have been able to explore in different areas of the school and learn the routine of aftercare.
